After more than 1000 chapters, the lengthy manga series is finally nearing its much anticipated conclusion. Roronoa Zoro has had quite a sizeable collection of swords from his travels. Here is how powerful we rank his swords that he has used so far.
Roronoa Zoro is a master of the Santoryu three-sword fighting technique and is renowned for using three swords simultaneously. His primary weapons of choice are katanas, which he carries two in each hand and one between his teeth.
When he was younger, Zoro thought a swordsman’s power was in his capacity to carry a large number of swords, so he attacked Kuina with all the bamboo blades he could manage. In One Piece universe Zoro is known as one of the most well-known swordsmen thanks to his demonstration of extraordinary strength and skill.
Coming in at number 2 is Dracule “Hawk Eyes” Mihawk, currently One Piece’s best swordsman. Roronoa Zoro wants to fight and defeat Mihawk to win this title of the best swordsman one day.
Zoro has demonstrated his ability as a swordsman for the Straw Hat’s time to time, either it be by severing Pacifistas which are known to be constructed of an alloy that is even more durable than steel or a mountain-like entity was once seen to be completely lacerated from head to toe while suspending his other half in the upper atmosphere.

Zoro’s Swords
Zoro has had the good fortune to handle some of the finest blades One Piece has to offer in his quest to become the best swordsman. With blades varying in quality from skilled to ungraded.
Renowned for being extremely durable and skilled, Meito blades are thought to be worth a lot. These swords are praised for their exceptional sharpness and incredible cutting power.
There are four grades of Meito blades; the Supreme Grade, of which only 12 have ever been produced, being used by people like Mihawk & Whitebeard. Then there are 21 Great Grade Swords, followed by 50 Swords of the Skillful Grade.
These sword classes will assist in determining the Rank of each sword that Zoro has used, aside from some swords whose grades are unknown. The relevance of every Sword in terms of its powers, strength, durability, and historical significance will be used to determine today’s ranking.
6. Dual Katanas – Found In Hometown
Zoro wielded the Dual Katanas in addition to the Wado Ichimonji as his auxiliary swords. Initially demonstrated in his conflict with Kuina, his adversary and childhood pal.
Later, he carried the Katanas to his fight with Dracule Mihawk, where Mihawk struck the two Katanas a devastating strike that rendered them entirely useless.
Due to its higher Meito grade, the Wado Ichimonji was preserved. Since they are the least powerful swords Zoro has ever carried, the regular dual Katanas rank last in terms of strength and durability.
5. Sandai Kitetsu/Kitetsu III – Found In Loguetown
A blade that is cursed and radiates a ferocious chaos-like energy. The Sandai Kitetsu has a commanding presence and a piercing, ferocious appearance. Due to its reputation as a cursed blade, anyone who dares to use it is said to be cursed with death and bad luck.
The renowned Wano swordsmith Tenguyama Hitotsu created the Grade sword known as the Sandai Kitetsu. The fact that it is cursed makes up for the fact that it is the lowest-ranking “name” sword Zoro has ever used.
Buying the sword’s blade from Ipponmatsu’s store in Loguetown after Zoro notices it there. After giving the sword a closer look, Zoro decides to try his luck in overcoming the curse by throwing the blade into the air and reaching out his arm.
Following the blade just misses his arm as it pivots around it. As his Luck triumphs over the curse of the sword and he is able to quickly command the curse and restrain its hunger for blood, Zoro decides to yield its own. A third-generation sword is indicated by the term “Sandai.” The term “Kitetsu” means “demon piercer.” Zoro is still carrying Sandai Kitetsu, a sword of lower quality but one that has proven itself worthy.
4. Yubashiri – Found In Loguetown
One of the “Ryo Wazamono,” or 50 Skillful Grade swords. Given to Zoro by Ipponmatsu in Loguetown after he saw Zoro’s skill in action with the Sandai kitetsu. The store owner chooses to give Zoro their family’s treasure “Yubashiri.”
The Yubashiri was a particularly potent blade in the world of the One-Piece. Renowned for having been fabricated to an extremely high standard, only surpassed in terms of quality by blades of the Supreme Grade and Great Grade. Swords in this category are renowned for being extremely sharp and durable while still being light, quick, and simple to control. Equipped primarily by swordsmen whose style emphasizes speed.
Unfortunately, a marine captain uses his devil fruit powers to transform the blade into rust, putting a stop to it in the Enies Lobby arc. Later, to commemorate the conclusion of his adventure with the Yubashiri, Zoro pays homage to the sword in Thriller Bark alongside Brook.
3. The Wado Ichimonji – Found In Hometown
Zoro’s first Meito-classified sword, classed among the “O Wazamono,” is the Wado Ichimonji. One of the 21 swords of Great Grade, second only to those of Supreme Grade. Enma and Wado Ichimonji were both forged by the legendary Shimotsuki Kouzaburou. formerly belonged to Zoro’s teacher Kuoshirou, who was also the father of Kuina, a buddy from his early years.
Zoro is vanquished with the same Wado Ichimonji in his final conflict with Kuina. The devastating news of Kuina’s sudden demise soon hits Zoro. Zoro, feeling sad, asks to be granted the Wado Ichimonji will continue Kuina’s legacy as the greatest swordsman. Zoro will probably carry this blade with him until the conclusion of his voyage. With his numerous victories over adversaries, Wado Ichimonji has certainly stood the test of time. The sword bears witness to its durability as it clashes with “Yoru,” a Supreme Grade Black blade, during his fight with Dracule Mihawk, surviving even without Armament Haki protection.
Additionally, if constantly imbued with Haki, it can permanently transform into a sword with a black blade. Consequently raising its status among other blades. The epitome of Zoro’s background and his heroic voyage with the Strawhats is Wado Ichimonji.
A constant reminder of his companion from boyhood and the vows he made to him. As something deeply rooted in the past as the Land of the Samurai. The straight way to harmony, which is how its name literally translates, is how this sword exalts peace and harmony. Indeed, it is a sword of promises.
2. Shusui – Found In Thriller Bark
Shimotsuki Ryuma, a renowned Samurai from the Land of Wano who was once hailed as the greatest swordsman of his time, meets Zoro during the Thriller Bark Arc.
Now zombie, Gecko Moria has taken away his tranquility by zombifying him as one of his troops to bolster his army. Zoro and Ryuma’s corpse are confronted and engage in a tense combat.
Ryuma decides to put Shisui in Zoro’s care after the battle since he is so impressed with Zoro’s abilities. Later, Zoro returns the nation’s stolen national treasure by giving Wano the sword.
One of the best swords in One Piece, its name, which exactly translates to “Autumn Water,” is one of the 21 O Wazamono Great Grade swords. In addition, the Shisui is a black blade, boosting its status among other swords. Kokuto blades are nearly indestructible and extremely durable.
The sword is extremely strong while supporting a thin blade, making it weighty and challenging to handle. Its enormous power can only be tamed by a true master swordsman. The blade is adorned with a red saw Hamon pattern, giving it a ferocious appearance. With Zoro, Shisui relived its heyday and proved to be a fantastic blade!
1. Enma – Found In Wano
Designed by the renowned Wano Shimotsuki Kozaburo swordsmith, who also created the Wado Ichimonji. Enma, a member of the exclusive group of 21 O Wazamono Great graded swords, served as Kozuki Oden of Wano’s second blade during his heroic exploits.
Inherited by his daughter Kozuki Hiyori, who gives Zoro the sword in exchange for reburying Shusui in Ryuma’s tomb. Zoro accidently cuts a portion of the coastline while experimenting with the blade.
Zoro makes the decision to go back to Shusui after witnessing Enma’s tremendous cutting power. Tenguyama Hitetsu claimed Enma could “cut through to the pit of hell” since it was the only sword to pass through Kaido. Enma is known to absorb the Busoshoku Haki of its user, leading to an excessively destructive strike if not well controlled.
Kaido noted that he could sense Kozuki Oden’s presence within the sword. Enma is unquestionably among Zoro’s strongest weapons to date. Hitetsu further stated that if Zoro is successful in transforming Enma into a permanent black blade, its rank would rise, elevating it to the ranks of a Supreme and Premium Grade sword, which only the chosen few can wield!
