It has been recently announced that Sound! Euphonium: The Movie – Our Promise: A Brand New Day will be available on Blu-ray and DVD combo pack on 6th June 2020 at Eleven Arts and Shout! Factory.
Sound! Euphonium: The Movie has been animated by Kyoto animation that has brought some popular movies and shows like A Silent Voice: The Movie, Violet Evergarden and Liz and the Blue Bird. The combo pack has some bonus which include interviews of the voice actors that include Laura Post (Reina Kousaka), Xanthe Huynh (Satsuki Suzuki) and Christian La Monte (Shuichi Tsukamoto, director of English dub).
In the movie we get to see the new venture that feature the next piece. With Kumiko entering second year at Kitauji High School, she has some new challenges to look forward to. After making it to Nationals which was not an easy task, she has been burdened with something harder which includes guiding the problematic first years students of the concert band and since each of them have a unique personality with troublesome things to sort out, it going to be very tough. As Kumiko is handling the concert band and her duties as senpai, how will that affect her relationship with Shuichi?
Sound! Euphonium is a famous series, that first came out as YA novel and later was adapted into a manga and anime with seasons. The movie, Our Promise: A Brand New Day starts from where the anime series ended and is highly recommended to both the fans of the franchise and Kyoto animation.
