Sentai Filmworks Obtains Anime Demon City Shinjuku

On Wednesday it was declared by Sentai Filmworks that it has obtained the anime Demon City Shinjuku. The anime is going to be set out by Sentai, comprising the original English dubbed version in United States, Canada, and Mexico. The movie is going to be accessible on selected digital outlets.

The 1988 original video anime version of the classic horror novel was directed at Madhouse by Yoshiaki Kawajiri.

In the story plot, a man named Levih Rah has made a Demon City in Tokyo’s Shinjuku locale, and he expects to devastate the whole planet. Sayaka Rama pledges to take on Levih Rah to protect her hostage father, and she comes to Demon City with a youngster named Kyoya and the legendary figure Mephisto.

In 2011 the anime was set out by Discotek on home video in a remastered special edition. In North America this anime was once set out on video tape and DVD form by Central Park Media but after that it was filed for bankruptcy. The original novel was certified by Digital Media, while the manga version by Shin-ichi Hosoma was set out by ADV Manga.
