On January 29 THE FIRST CG Anime Film Lupin III to Open in the Philippines

On Saturday it was disclosed by the Philippine movie distributor Pioneer Films that on January 29 the screening of its new anime movie Lupin III THE FIRST of the Lupin III franchise by Monkey Punch will be released.

This movie is the first 3D CG feature-length movie of the franchise. On December 4 the movie was released and the movie got the 2nd position at the Japanese box office and it vended 177,000 tickets and generated 244,827,850 yen in its starting week.

The complete movie was penned and directed by Takashi Yamazaki. The story of the movie revolves around Lupin joining hands with a woman called Leticia in order to take away the Bresson Diary which is a fortune that even the Arsène Lupin the primary generation was not able to steal.

The temporary cast members are following:

  1. Leticia by Suzu Hirose
  2. Lambert by Kōtarō Yoshida
  3. Geralt by Tatsuya Fujiwara

On April 11 the maker of Lupin III called Monkey Punch died but on October 2018 the website of the movie updated a message in which he had stated that how much he is thrilled to picture the fresh take of his character would look like.

On May 31 the latest movie of the franchise Lupin the IIIrd: Fujiko’s Lie was released in Japan. The movie got the 1st position in the mini cinema rankings in its starting week in Japan. The movie is the third movie of the series comprising of 2014’s Lupin the Third: Jigen’s Gravestone and 2017’s Lupin the IIIrd Chikemuri no Ishikawa Goemon. All of the three movies is directed by Takeshi Koike and the scripts are penned by Yūya Takahashi.

In the franchise Lupin the Third: Part 5 is the latest anime series. In April 2018 the anime series was debuted in Japan NTV’s AnichU programming block.
