This episode marks the end of The Hell of Mirror where Mitsuba ends up being the new Third Wonder. This episode was more thrilling and intense compared to the previous one and it’s hard for Mitsuba to catch a break. I also felt bad for Kou when he finds out the truth about Mitsuba. Tsukasa is a creepy as in the previous episode.
Seriously, what is his problem? I don’t even know what I feel about him. He murdered the Third Wonder by smashing his face against the mirror and then ripped out his heat from his chest and made Mitsuba eat it. I never thought that this series will turn out to be so creepy with such an artistic animation style. Thankfully, it was not too direct. Tsukasa was willing to smash Yashiro’s head with the floor but didn’t do that because he can’t be violent with the girls. Thanks to her being her a girl because he would have killed her otherwise. It won’t be difficult for him to do that with an innocent human since it was so easy for him to destroy a big bird. Therefore, it is hard to judge his character. He doesn’t care about anyone and is creepy but he made Mitsuba what he now and provided him those abilities as he can’t be the one himself. So he made Mitsuba a Wonder and allows him to be whatever he wants. There is something for Tsukasa in it but it wasn’t explained in detail. What I could get was that Hanako is mad at him and can easily destroy him. But there should be more as there has to be more story to it than just the twins encountering each other.
And the key still was not used in this episode. I was really expecting it to appear in this arc since Tsukasa showed up. But we still have to wait for that. Probably they show it in the next episode but I’m not very hopeful. I think it’s something that they will save for later. But I’m eager to know about it to the extent that I might end up reading the manga. Especially if the next season doesn’t start soon.
Hanako and Kou came to save Yashiro, although they didn’t get to do much to help her. Although I am concern about Kou in all this. Mitsuba is not the same as before. When Tsukasa apparently got rid of him, he captured his soul and continued to form his own body to put the soul in it that created a new Mitsuba. But this Mitsuba is not the same person and does not have his memories so he is entirely stranger to Kou. Kou tries to make him remember everything and it was useless but interestingly he responded the same way to him. I hope he gets back his memories with the help of the gardening club book that Kou handed over to him. But right now is the Third Wonder with many abilities. He urges Yashiro and the others to go away and requests Yashiro to not abolish his yorishiro as it would not be good for him. The tree of them comes back safely to the bathroom.
I don’t how will this series continue from here as Tsukasa is going to more troublesome now. The next episode is going be about Little Mermaid as the title suggest and I don’t think that it is going to continue something from this episode. It seems like it is going to be the same story with the mermaid. The Ending Theme is worrisome but we can’t predict anything now. I didn’t expect this series to end in the next episode but the next episode is going to be last one of this season. I will have to read the manga in that case.
