Serial Killers have always outsmarted even the best detectives, thinking ahead of the making them end up with nothing but failure. But with the system like Mizuhanome, even the best and smartest criminals won’t be able to defeat the police. Kura team is the hidden part of the police force who get into the minds of those serial killers with the help of that strange but amazing system.

After getting in the id well, the person undertakes the identity of ‘brilliant detective’ and ha to crack the clues in order to catch the killer and make efforts to figure out the intention or the reason behind the crime. But, the people in the id wells who are accepted as ‘brilliant detectives’ are not among the respected citizens. Because one has to be serial killer himself/herself to get in the id well.

ID:INVADED– Review

He concept of getting inside the mind of a criminal is one of the most interesting to thing to watch especially when it come to do with the criminals in order to evaluate their plan before even make it. Of course it is not the new concept and we have seen the anime and movies with the same trope but ID:INVADED took this concept to a whole new level with the use of Mizuhanome System and the idea of  id wells

ID:INVADED would not have been stand out if it the cast wouldn’t have been so peculiar and great All characters from the protagonist to the first important serial killer he catches — Tamotsu Fukuda — are complicated and deep characters who are sometimes very relatable and sometimes bizarre. Akihito’s brilliant detective identity is also very intriguing and we supported that character from the start till end.

It is very rare to see both opening and ending themes of the anime to be so good that we would never skip but ID:INVADED is one of those rare anime. The opening themes are performed by Sou, called ‘Mister Fixer’. While the ending theme, Other Side, is sung by MIYAVI was also worth listening every time. Not just the themes but the music during the scenes were also mesmerizing and complemented the scene during which it played. The overall music and themes of ID:INVADED are worth listening even when you are not watching the series.

Backstory is the essential part of the story to better understand the present story and that is what seems lacking in this series. We get to know all about how Mizuhanome system operates or the flashback of Akihito’s family but there are many other backstories that are kept in dark. There are many things that we would have liked to know about like the relationship between Akihito And the leader of the Kura Team or about other characters like Sarina Tougou and Kazuo Wakashika.

We won’t spoil the climax but one thing that you need to know is that the ending is a little rushed. There was so many mysteries regarding John Walker as to why he made others do what they did not felt satisfying. In addition to that the mystery behind the issue regarding Mizuhanome System was also resolved really quick. Studio NAZ has done this before and so the fast paced ending is not a surprise for us.

One flaws we mentioned above including insufficient backstories and quick endings could be solved by more episode which is another major drawback of the series. Probably another season or a few more episodes would have overcome those shortcomings and make it perfect. We can still hope for another season with the popularity and fandom of this series and if this happens it would definitely be worth watching.
