On Tuesday the authorized website of mystery novel named Woodpecker Detective’s Office by Kei Ii temporarily starts to telecast an advertising video of the anime. The video discloses some roles of the recent declared cast members, discloses new cast members, and also discloses the April 13 debut date of the anime. It also previews the starting song of the anime called Honjitsu mo Makoto ni Seiten Nari by Makoto Furukawa, and also disclosed the concluding song of the anime called Gondola no Uta by NOW ON AIR.
After that on Wednesday the website updated a new main visual which is placed above.
As recently declared the anime will feature Shintarō Asanuma as Takuboku Ishikawa and Takahiro Sakurai as Kyōsuke Kindaichi. Lately declared cast members are Kenjiro Tsuda and Yukiya Hayashi who will be the voice over artists of characters called Kodo Nomura and Ryūnosuke Akutagawa correspondingly. Recently Hayato Furusawa’s name was also declared but his role has not been disclosed. The new cast members are Sōma Saitō as Isamu Yoshii, Yuichiro Umehara as Sakutoro Hagiwara, Kensho Ono as Taro Hirai, and Makoto Furukawa as Bokusui Wakayama.
On April 13 the anime will telecast on Tokyo MX, BS-Fuji, and CS Family Gekijō. The series will be telecast globally by Crunchyroll outside the territories of Asia as soon as it will be broadcast.
The anime will feature Takuboku Ishikawa by Shintarō Asanuma and Kyōsuke Kindaichi by Takahiro Sakurai. The anime will also feature Kenjiro Tsuda, Rikiya Hayashi, and Hayato Furusawa. In January both Hayashi and Furusawa were awarded with the subsequent try outs for the male voice actors for the Kimikoe Project.
The main director of the anime is Shinpei Ezaki at the LIDEN FILMS. The series is being directed by Tomoe Makino. Along with Tôhoku Shinsha LIDEN FILMS is also ascribed for the production. The series scripts are being supervised by Taku Kishimoto, and for the original designs of the characters manga maker Kaoru Saki is ascribed. For animation does designs is being adapted by Shuichi Hara, the music is being composed by MONACA, and the director of sound is Youji Shimizu.
The story of the novel is set in 1909 during Japan’s Meiji period, and focuses on anecdotal variants of genuine artist Takuboku Ishikawa and genuine language specialist Kyōsuke Kindaichi, who were colleagues, all things considered. In the novel, Takuboku runs a private investigator office to help his family. Both start to examine an instance of assumed apparition appearances at the Asakusa Jūnikai building, otherwise called the Ryōunkai.
In 1999 the first volume of the novel was issued by Kei Ii in the normal tankōbon arrangement via Tokyo Sogensha. In 2008 the novel was re set out by Tokyo Sogensha in the smaller bunko arrangement.
