On Tuesday a new trailer, the Japanese cast members, more crew members, and the March 19 globally Netflix exclusive debut date was disclosed by Netflix of the anime feature follow up Altered Carbon: Resleeved. There are two versions of the new trailers with English and Japanese audio format.

The anime has been explained by Netflix in following manner:
On the planet Latimer, Takeshi Kovacs must secure a tattooist while researching the passing of a yakuza manager close by a simple CTAC.
The Japanese cast members are following:
- Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ken (Takeshi Kovacs)
- Rina Satou as Gina (Leilin Kawahara)
- Ayaka Asai as Holly Togram
- George Nakata as Ogai
- Kenji Yamauchi as Hideki Tanaseda
- Kanehira Yamamoto as Shinji
- Kōji Ishii as Genzō
The anime is being directed at Anima by Jō Nakajima along with newly disclosed director Yoshiyuki Okada. The characters are being designed by Yasuo Ohtagaki. The CG supervisor is Ren Kikuchi. The music is being composed by MONACA.
The series is inspired on the live action sci-fi series by Netflix of the similar name. The project will discover new elements of the story mythology. For the project Dai Sato Tsukasa Kondo are ascribed as authors.
In March 2019 Netflix declared its collaboration with Anima.
