Last Friday it was disclosed by the January 2021 issue of Akita Shoten’s Monthly Princess magazine that on January 6 a new manga named Toki o Kakeru Sukeban Deka is going to be commenced by Saori Muranaga inspired by manga Sukeban Deka by Shinji Wada in the magazine’s next issue. Also, the next issue is also going to feature a pre-serialization of another manga named Re: Sukeban Deka inspired by Sukeban Deka by Ashibi Fukui. In February the manga is going to commence in the March 2021 issue.
Wada’s notorious Sukeban Deka manga focuses on Saki Asamiya, a secondary school delinquent who hits an arrangement with the police to examine her previous secondary school and bust illicit posse exercises, in return for her mom’s absolution. Furnished with her metal yo-yo, she battles the Mizuchi sisters, who true control the school.
From 1976 to 1982 the manga was in succession in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine by late Wada. A 1991 video anime project was made based on the manga and various popular live action series and movies were also made in 80s inspired by the manga. In 2006 a live action movie was also made based on it.
