Yakusoku no Neverland narrative intrigued us with the story of Geelan who is a very interesting Demon. After the internal attack in the last chapter, we get to learn more about Geelan’s past in chapter 147 of Yakusoku no Neverland. Initially Geelan was among the top dogs of the capital who stood up for all demons regardless of their class to treat them equally. In a horrid place which was filled with greed and corruption, it was evident that he would be destroyed by those around him. His inferiors, for whom he did everything he could betrayed him and destroyed his clan, removed them from their respective positions and cast them out after being accused of a crime they never did. Geelan was determined to regain everything he and his clan lost. No doubt he is good at it. He took all his disloyal inferiors down and reduced the number of demon in no time. The other important things is the mission of Norman and his infiltration team which is about to begin as suggested in the last panel. In chapter 147 of Yakusoku no Neverland we get to have an in-depth clarification about thing we were familiar about. It explained in detail why Geelan is against his own race. Moreover, the last panel suggesting about Norman’s mission is interesting enough to keep us impatient for the next chapter. Demons in this series are callous and cold-hearted. It is quit understandable as concept of demons is not about kindness and selfless. But Geelan, is a generous and honorable demon. Unlike others, he has a different motive as he is not selfish and stood up for all demons, week or strong to be treated equally. He was destroyed by his race for being kind. In the last few chapters we did not get to see Norman being focused as they were mostly about Geelan. But the end of this chapter suggested that the next chapter will be focused on Norman as he is going to make a new move. We are familiar about his plans to destroy demons but can’t wait to see those plans work. There are other questions to be answered like how will Emma and Ray will manage to stop their old friends as they are still travelling.
So, now we have learned all about Geelan and why he was betrayed by his own race and made him hate them so much. A big move is going to be made by Norman which means that Emma and Ray have to hurry. Yakusoku no Neverland chapter 147 gave us many reasons to look forward to new chapters as the upcoming chapters are going to be filled with many surprises
