Demon Slayer

Demon slayer episode 22 left everyone anxious about the siblings but this week’s episode has proved how powerful their bond is even when they are apart and sooner or later Demon Slaying corpse had to realize it.

It isn’t easy for Nezuko to resist her bloodthirst with Sanemi’s blood in front of her but still didn’t attack him as Tanjiro screamed her name while running towards her making Nezuko think about her family and Urokodaki’s words. It gave her strength to overcome the bloodthirst. The master suggest Tanjiro how he can gain full trust of hashira by killing one of the twelve Demon Moons. Tanjiro meets Zenitsu and Inosuke at Shinobo’s home who invited them at her place. Zenitsu and Inosuke seem to be troubled with their own problems. With demon getting stronger, demon slayers are getting week and so the episode ends with Master meeting hashira, who promise in front of all the member to defeat Muzan Kibutsuji at all cost.

Zenitsu and Inosuke, a new comedy duo is the breath of fresh air in the anime as it made us laugh hard when they had to carry Tanjiro and Nezuko around. Hopefully we get to see them more in the upcoming episode.

The best scene of the episode was the moment when Tanjiro tries to attack Sanemi right after he was told by the Master that he deserves respect from hashira. That attempt of Tanjiro is worth watching. However, we hope to see him making Sanemi regret.

Watching Master how he support and handle the situation of Tanjiro and Nezuko, we could have predicted that he may have seen demons living in harmony with humans the past. Therefore, it was not really a surprising moment when he mentioned about Tamayo.

What really surprising in this episode is when Tanjiro talks about his need to get stronger soon. As we do realize that it’s better for Nezuko to become human sooner but what we did not realize is that Tanjiro has his own physical deadline. Even after many years, Nezuko will remain same but Tanjiro will get weak and as he grow old with time, one day he will have to leave Nezuko. This makes every moment precious for theses siblings.

As we all know that Urokodaki has hypnotized Nezuko to see all humans as her family, it looked like Nezuko was only able to control herself because of the hypnotism. For instance, tusuzumi mansion arc, when she rubbed the head of one of the children, she sees her dead younger sibling in place of that child. However, this week’s episode proved that it’s not the hypnotism that is controlling but she actually sees all humans as her family and she understands that she need to protect them so that they would not end up like her family. She remembered her family and thinks about the love when she resisted the craving of Sanemi’s blood. It shows that it is not the hypnotism but her own feeling and thinking that makes her love and protect human.

As we get impatient to see next episode, it’s pretty sad to think that this wonderful series is going to end soon. No doubt it will be hard to say goodbye to this wonderful anime.
