Bleach Filler List: The Bleach fillers are entertaining, with the exception of the Bount arc, which takes place over the course of episodes 64–109. The original story lines, on the other hand, are plagued by an excessive amount of filler that was added, which makes it very difficult to watch them. It is recommended to bypass the filler episodes and go straight into the main tale instead, much as we did when watching the One Piece anime.

Bleach Anime Filler List
This list categorizes each episode as either filler, canon, or mixed, with the latter category indicating the amount of time spent viewing each sort of content. The films and ova will be organized in accordance with the year. If after seeing the anime anyone is interested in continuing on with the manga, I will clarify which chapter the show ends in so they can continue reading it.
Filler
As these episodes aren’t based on the manga and don’t continue the tale as intended, we don’t watch them.
Mixed
As the filler sections in these episodes were kept from the manga’s source material, we only watch the ones that are explicitly marked for viewing.
Canon
We’ve seen all of these episodes because they’re faithful adaptations of the manga.
Special
Episodes adapted from individual chapters of the manga (one-shots) or compilation episodes; viewing them is completely discretionary.

SEASON 1: The Substitute
Total Episodes from 1 to 20
The anime series Bleach is currently in its first season. Since Tite Kubo’s manga served as the inspiration for The Substitute, everything in the movie is considered canon. There is not even a single episode that can be considered filler, so everything should be fine here. The story focuses on the early days of Ichigo Kurosaki’s career as a Soul Reaper (also called a Shinigami) when he received his powers from Kuchiki Rukia. These days are referred to be Ichigo’s golden days.
SEASON 2: Soul Society: The Entry
Episodes from 21 to 41
The second season of Soul Society has a total of 21 episodes and is also known as “The Sneak Entrance storyline.” Season 2 was directed by Noriyuki Abe, which is one of the reasons why it is so epic. In addition, TV Tokyo, Studio Perriot, and Dentsu were all involved in the production of The Entrance.
Ichigo Kurosaki spends the majority of the plot of the second season attempting to save Rukia, who is scheduled to be executed. Upon the transfer of her Shinigami powers to Ichigo, the Soul Society conspired to have her put to death.
SEASON 3: Soul Society: The Rescue
Episodes from 42 to 63
The Rescue Arc is yet another well-known one that may be found out there. Also, the third season of Bleach is when things start to become serious. This season, which has a total of twenty-two episodes, focuses on the events that take place when the situation with the higher-ups in the Soul Society becomes even more tense. Will Ichigo be successful in rescuing Rukia?
SEASON 4: The Bount
Episodes from 64 to 91
You guys have now entered the wonderful world of fillers. This is the point at which things start to become complicated for the fans out there. This manga is not an adaptation of Bleach by Tite Kubo; rather, it is its own thing entirely. And by “that,” I do really mean that the entirety of this season is a filler one.
When it comes to the Bount arc, a lot of people have some reservations about it. Personally, I thought it was wonderful. It tells the tale of the Bounts, a species of humans who devour the souls of other people in order to strengthen themselves and grow more powerful. The fights that they have with Ichigo and his friends are completely insane.
SEASON 5: The Assault
Episodes from 92 to 109
This season has 17 epic episodes and is also known as Bount Assault on Soul Society. In these episodes, Bounts are directly involved with the Soul Society, which wants them to cease taking human souls. This season included some of the most spectacular battles, as the Soul Society was actively involved in a number of confrontations with great foes.
SEASON 6: The Arrancar
Episodes from 110 to 131
The Arrancars were without a doubt the most irritating foes that could ever appear in an animated show. Many people consider it a vice, yet those who follow Bleach can attest to the fact that it has significantly impacted their life. They were unable to get a good night’s sleep. (Just kidding).
The story unfolds over the course of twenty-two episodes, and it begins with Aizen declaring war on the Soul Reapers with the assistance of the Arrancars. A more accurate description would be that Aizen coerced them into following his leadership. When you get to this point, you will have a good understanding of who the most powerful characters in Bleach actually are.
SEASON 7: The Arrancar Part 2: The Hueco Mundo Sneak Entry
Episodes from 132 to 152
Arrancar: The Sneak Entrance to Hueco Mundo arc in Bleach is undoubtedly the most well-known of all the story arcs in the anime. In the aftermath of Inoue’s abduction, the plot focuses on Ichigo’s attempt to reach Hueco Mundo as soon as possible. Aizen was the mastermind behind all of this, but Ichigo is furious and wants to fight to the death.
SEASON 8: The Arrancar Part 3: The Fierce Fight
Episodes from 152 to 167
Arrancar: The Fierce Battle Arc is another name for the eighth season of the show. This season consists of a total of 16 episodes and continues the narrative from the previous season in which Ichigo and the other Soul Reapers are engaged in combat against the Espada.
This also contains the battle against Aizen, in which he completely obliterated everyone else in the room. Nevertheless, that is not the decisive conflict either. As these episodes were being broadcast, Ichigo’s fight against Grimmjow was likely the one that viewers were looking forward to the most.
SEASON 9: The New Captain Shūsuke Amagai
Episodes from 168 to 189
Everyone had the impression that the new captain, Shusuke Amagi, was a secretive or mysterious individual. This narrative is almost all filler, and its primary focus is on him. After what seemed like an eternity, the plot finally took an intriguing turn, and we were able to see it. It first aired from April 23, 2008, all the way through October 7, 2008, and it had a total of 22 episodes.
SEASON 10: The Arrancar Part 4: Arrancar vs Shinigami
Episodes from 190 to 205
The battle between Arrancar and Shinigami takes place during the 10th season. This situation is causing Ichigo a lot of frustration. Having all of his friends in peril, in addition to Inoue, who is being exploited by the Arrancar, he is in a difficult position. Byakuya and Kenpachi each had significant opportunities to display the true extent of their abilities.
SEASON 11: The Past
Episodes from 206 to 212
From a lighthearted anime with a lot of filler episodes to one of the most serious anime you’ll ever see, Bleach is a roller coaster. Because of the immense popularity of the Past Arc, we literally have dozens of wallpapers featuring the characters that we initially introduced in the series.
Despite the fact that there are just seven episodes in this season, we get an introduction to how Aizen, the primary antagonist, deceived everyone and experimented on each and every individual he could get his hands on. for the purpose of creating hollows from shinigami and mixed ones.
SEASON 12: The Arrancar Part 5: Battle in Karakura
Episodes from 213-229
The only season that anyone has been waiting for is the Arrancar: Decisive Battle of Karakura Arc installment. It seems like it’s high time that someone gave Aizen a good thrashing, doesn’t it? Everyone is currently engaged in combat against the army of Arrancars that Aizen commanded.
The Karakura Town neighborhood that Ichigo calls home poses the greatest risk at the moment, and the team must do everything in its power to defend it. Next up will be the Soul Society, and then we’ll head to Karakura Town. Many seem to really enjoy the intense drama and sweeping battle sequences that are packed throughout this season.
SEASON 13: Zanpakutō: The Alternate Tale
Episodes from 230-265
The Alternative Story is an anime series that focuses on the Soul Reapers Zanpakuto and is comprised primarily of filler episodes. You’re probably familiar with the swords they have. There is not a single Zanpakuto left hidden! They are engaged in combat with the Shinigamis, and the only thing they can do is attempt to eliminate them. Our heroes will be tasked with reclaiming their Zanpakuto, and as the episodes progress, this story arc will become increasingly exciting.
SEASON 14: The Arrancar Part 6: Fall of the Espada
Episodes from 266-316
Destruction of the Espada. You should know that SOMEONE’S GOT TO DO IT. Because it focuses on Ichigo’s hatred, this arc is likely one of the most emotionally taxing ones. The battle between Sosuke Aizen’s Arrancar and our heroes will continue throughout the season. Ichigo is doing everything in his power to protect Orihime Inoue at this moment. Will he be able to accomplish it?
SEASON 15: Gotei 13 Invading Army
Episodes from 317-342
Another completely filler-based arc, Gotei 13 Invading Army covers the tale in which odd happenings are happening in Soul Society, where the Shinigamis are disappearing???? Following the occurrences at Aizen, Ichigo is concerned about the fact that his strength is going berserk.
SEASON 16: The Lost Agent
Episodes from 343-366
The events chronicled in the Lost Agent Arc took place around seventeen months after Ichigo had been defeated by Sosuke Aizen and had thus lost his Shinigami powers. During this season, he comes into contact with Kugo Ginjo, who promises to restore Ichigo’s powers so that he can advance his mission and assist his allies. Nonetheless, you should be on the lookout since the Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Arc will begin soon.
SEASON 17: Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War
Episodes from 367 to 379
One of the most significant returns of any anime series in the history of the medium is Bleach: The Thousand Year Blood War. At the conclusion of the shonen manga in Weekly Shonen Jump, many people had the misconception that the grand conclusion of the story involving Ichigo Kurosaki and the Soul Society would never be adapted for the small screen.
Now, following the most recent batch of episodes from its first season, the second handful of episodes are set to arrive later this year, and Studio Pierrot has confirmed that not only will it take part in this year’s Anime Japan, but it has also shared some of the goodies that they will be bringing to the event. Anime Japan is held every year in October in Tokyo, Japan.
Bleach Fillers to Watch
There are a total of five filler arcs in Bleach, and since these arcs were not adapted from the manga, we are free to skip them if we so choose. However, if you are curious as to whether or not any of these arcs are any good, then I will recommend which ones you should watch and which ones you can skip:
The Bount Arc – 64-91: Not recommended.
The events that took place following the struggle in soul society are detailed in this, the first part of a two-part arc. The Bounts have been introduced as the new antagonists in this conflict. This arc is certainly one of the more controversial fillers that were included in bleach. Despite the fact that the tale itself is not terrible, the total number of episodes that make up this arc is excessive in comparison to the amount of original content it contains.
Bount Assault on Soul Society Arc – 92-109: Not recommended.
This is the second chapter of the Bounty Arc, and in it, the antagonists and their children explain their motivations. As I’ve noted before, the story is excessively drawn out for a saga that does not fit in the manga.
The New Captain Shūsuke Amagai Arc – 168-189: Not recommended.
Arc that is completely irrelevant, but what most upset the fans is that they did not even bother to add it properly. I mention this because it does not have continuity to the series, but instead inserts a new story whose characters do not appear or are mentioned in the following manga adaptations. This is one of the reasons why I am upset about it.
Zanpakutō Unknown Tales Arc – 230-265: Recommended.
This story arc informs us about a rebellion that the souls of the zanpakuto staged against their Shinigami rulers. As was the case with previous filler arcs, this one is in charge of telling events that are in no way connected to the history of the manga and do not belong in the sequence of events that the series follows chronologically.
Despite this, I do recommend it because, despite the fact that it diverts attention from the main storyline, it allows us to learn more about the characters of the swords and the bond they share with their owners.
Gotei 13 Invading Army Arc – 317-342: Recommended.
It provides us a breather after the Arrancar Arc and fits the tale nicely to the point that it confuses us as to whether it is filler or canon, and it is a total of 26 episodes long. In my opinion, this filler arc is the greatest of the bunch. It concerns the schemes that Kageroza Inaba has devised for exacting retribution.
Bleach Movies in Order
There are a total of six movies and two OVAs in the Bleach franchise. While these do not follow the canonical storyline in any way, their chronological order can be deduced based on the characters who appear, their skills, and their evolution. As a result, the following is the recommended order in which to watch the Bleach movies and ovas:
OVA 1: Memories in the Rain
We watch it after episode 9. This is the first episode of the series and it serves as the pilot for the series. It is a special version of chapters 8-9 and it was produced before the anime was made available in Japan.
OVA 2: The Sealed Sword Frenzy
During the Bleach Jump Festa 2005 Anime Tour, it was shown to the audience. It would appear to take place not too long after the events of the Soul Society Saga.
Movie 1: Memories of Nobody
We watch it after episode 109. It is related that in the city of Karakura, a number of unknown spirits have recently made their appearance, while in Soul Society, this phenomenon has a reflection in the actual world. Ichigo has been confronted by a mystery shinigami known as Senna, who was accompanied by a guy named Ganryu, the leader of a gang of individuals known as the Dark Ones.
Movie 2: The DiamondDust Rebellion
A precious artifact known as the “King’s Seal” (Oin) is taken by an unknown organization as they are in the process of transferring it to Soul Society. This is how everything gets started. The captain of the Tenth Division, Tshiro Hitsugaya, who was tasked with carrying the seal, engaged in combat with the head of the party of thieves. Shortly afterward, Hitsugaya vanished without a trace, leaving the leader of the group of thieves as the sole suspect.
Movie 3: Fade to Black
Amnesia strikes each and every member of Soul Society, and as a result, nobody has any recollections of Rukia and Ichigo anymore. The shadows from Rukia’s past are brought into the light, as is the “truth” that has been concealed within her memories.
Movie 4: Jigoku Hen
We watch it after episode 299. Ichigo and his companions make their way towards Hell, a location reserved for hollows who were punished for their actions when they were still human.
