Loid Forger is one of the best secret spy who works for the country of Westalis. His spy name is ‘Twilight’ and works very hard to protect his country from getting involve in war with the neighboring country, Ostania. He has been assigned a new mission called operation Strix in which he has the task of spying and halting a politician of Ostania, Desmond from initiating a war between his country and Westalis. But, in order to go in this mission he has to start a family with a wife and an adopted child.

The manga shows many thoughtful aspects of a family but these all family moments feels unique with a bit of madness. No matter you have experience in parenting or not, this the developing parental moments in this manga will make you understand it very well.

The Forger Family adopts a child named, Anya, who is an Esper who can read minds. This child is not ordinary as she is the outcome of an undisclosed experiment. Anya has never had a home or a family as she has been switching orphanages throughout her life. The life of Anya and her entire existence reminds Loid of his past life and so he has a soft spot for this kid and wants to give her everything that he has been deprived of.

The wife of Loid is Yor Briar, who is an office worker in daytime and a hitman called Thorn Princess, during night. Yes! She is a professional assassin who lives in the same place as Loid. She was forced to have a boyfriend by her brother as she needs to acclimatize in the society so that she doesn’t become center of unsolicited attention as this attention can be a big hurdle in her profession.

Together they live like an ordinary happy family like any other. On surface they are a normal couple that conceal the truth about their profession under the blessing of their marriage, having no idea about each other’s real profession. But Anya, being an Esper and having mind reading abilities, knows everything about her parents. It’s a funny coupling of the spy and an assassin who raise up a child with special abilities in a very interesting way.

But when it comes to some relatable moments, it can trigger some adrenaline rush as there are some moments in the manga where you would see Anya being bullied by some of her school mates in an elite school, Eden Academy, due to different social background. These stories can bring back some memories of our own from our real lives but that’s the beauty of these manga that makes it even more thrilling.

There are some things that you will learn about in this manga like issues that can be faced while starting a new family as so many responsibilities can be overwhelming in the beginning. As far as the plot goes, you better read t manga to explore that. But the best and the most significant part of this manga is the thigs we learn about life in each chapter.

The characters in the Spy x Family are very different and interesting and have their own special abilities. They keep facing challenges of adjusting in to the society they live in while fighting with some external hardships which is related to the plot. It is a warm hearted manga with some funny moments that will surely bring smile on your faces.

Those who are thinking about starting a family might get scared after reading the starting part of the manga as raising a child or children can be challenging and as it is a big responsibility. It can be scary in a way where you wonder your ability to raise a child rightly. It is okay to worry about that and all you need to do as a parent is to be with them in all aspect of their life. It’s tough but the outcome of it is equally worthwhile.

When a person needs someone, the closest person that comes in our mind are our family and friends because they know you better than anyone as they have been looking after you and since you were very young.
