Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 22 Review

This week Tanjiro and Nezuko’s distressful situation has got even worse. It’s not just about proving their bond as wonderful siblings but Nezuko’s humanity as well towards the top demon slayers. Although it’s evident to us that Nezuko is not harmful but proving it to the people who have spent their lives fighting and killing all demons, will not be an easy task.

Tanjiro, finds himself surrounded by the top demon slayers, hashira who is in favor of the execution of siblings. Whereas, Shinobu is the only one who let Tanjiro defend himself but before he could even start, another group member, Sanemi provokes Tanjiro with Nezuko’s box. The situation could still had been handled when the master of the group states that he understand the situation of the siblings. However, Sanemi still disapproves the fact that Nezuko will never harm anyone. The whole situation get worse when Nezuko comes out of her box due to the rage which is provoked by Sanemi who stabs her in the box and even baits her with his blood.

Since Hashira is not silhouettes anymore and are clearly visible, Tanjiro does look a little ‘drab’ compared to them. Every hashira has been designed with random customization and their bodies look a little brighter and colorful than Tanjiro.

We finally get to see the master of the demon corps who is respected by hashira to the extent that even their tone and behavior changes while speaking in front of him.

Shinobu has become the new favorite character of all Demon Slayer fans who did not just gave Tanjiro a chance to explain himself but provided him medicines and water. Unlike other demon slayers, she knows how to keep calm and let others speak for themselves.

On the contrary, Sanemi seems completely opposite and being hated by all fans due to his lack of judgement. He doesn’t even seems to respect Master’s point of view. However it is still understandable that giving a chance to one demon can change the belief of demon slayers whose entire existence depend on that one belief.

Demon Slayer’s episode 22, was intense but a little slow at the same time. It introduced many new characters with different personalities and viewpoints. Hopefully, these characters will make the plot more exciting in the upcoming episodes
