The source through which the anime is originated is treated as a divine object, which will forever stay top no matter how well the adaption was produce. But there are times when anime scriptwriters and directors include in bonus substances that extends the original story and it makes it different and interesting (or a little exciting) than before. It may be a full rework of a scene in the source material that had bad reviews when it was first introduced, or it might be the same scene but in a more depth on something that barely mentioned in manga, or they would introduce a completely new character that has a much different view of the story than others. Let’s begin the most entertaining anime scene that weren’t in the manga!

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu

There are handful of followers that would debate that the anime interpretation of the “Endless Eight” saga was more interesting than how it concluded in the light novel, but it definitely dropped down the unpleasant boredom and dejection that Kyon and Yuki felt during the unending summer holidays. Extending what was in the light novel, a single chapter that only featured the final time loop, the anime featured eight complete episodes to present a slightly remade interpretation of the same vacation repeatedly. Fans are still not quite satisfied that the full half of the next season was dedicated to this saga, but Kyoto Animation did the right job.

Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail’s “Edolas” saga featured a lot of characters from the Fairy Tail guild having a different version of them in an alternate universe, and each one of them had the same identities but different behaviors and interest to their “Earthland” versions. Edolas Natsu is a diffident car racer, Edolas Lucy is a no-foolish rough girl, etc. Hiro Mashima wished to show an alternate character of Gajee in Edolas but didn’t had the time to introduce in the manga’s original run. But when it was the anime’s turn, Edolas Gajeel was finally introduced as a spunky journalist who melts down corrupt members of the government with his fearless reporting. As a matter of fact, the normal Gajeel and the Edolas Gajeel are quite friendly to each other! Their time together in Edolas are one of the best thing about the entire arc.

Kimetsu no Yaiba

Demons Slayer gave each and every demons a really deep history and flashbacks, showing them in their human forms before they eventually turn humans eating monsters. Rui the spider demon destroyed his own family due to misunderstanding, so he spends time with a fake temporary family out of abducted people of his own type that he turned to look like him. That’s scary itself, but moreover the anime versions reveals how merciless Rui treats his so called family in a detailed flashback where one of the member thought he is finally successful to slip away from this nightmare but winds up lashed to the air to be killed through the burning sun.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Since many viewers have watched the 2003 anime version of Fullmetal Alchemist, which conscientiously presented the first thirty three percent of the manga before completely changing, Brotherhood didn’t focus on those parts in just to start the canon plot which the first season didn’t show as fast as possible. Hiromu Arakawa introducing a new character after working with the anime directors which would appear in the first episode – Isaac MacDougal, the Freezing Alchemist. He has already determined the evil objectives of the military and he is planning to reveal everything, but Fuhrer Bradley underhandedly takes him out before he makes his move. Still, he created enough commotion that grew Edward, Mustand and all new viewers’ suspicion. This time it wasn’t even Danté.

MÄR

The source material of this isekai shounen lark was extremely scramble at the very end, leaving Ginta and his team with an under cooked result to their magical journey through Märhaven. Gladly, the anime version was able to almost completely remake the final fight and conclusion to Märhaven and every character gets a different, satisfying and well deserve ending. Snow was able to merge herself with Koyuki so that she spends her time with Ginta even in the original world, also she passes him the ability to take down the dark orb that has crushed most of his allies.

With a decsive battle and a sentimental beautiful ending, Märhaven fans can finally rest in peace… if not then the only reason could be they are not in Japan, because Viz Media stopped the series to broadcast abroad after 50 episodes. Thankfully fansub is present!
