On Friday the manga Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeon no Saikō Shinshō Prologue by Kazuhisa Kondō premiered in this year’s March issue of Kadokawa’s Gundam Ace magazine. From February 26 the regular succession of the manga will be began in the next issue of the magazine. For the original work Hajime Yatate and Yoshiyuki Tomino are ascribed.
In 1988 the original manga Mobile Suit Gundam: The Revival of Zeon (image is placed above) was commenced by Kondō in the Kadokawa’s Newtype 100% Comics and in 2010 the manga Suit Gundam: New Revival of Zeon was commenced in the Gundam Ace.
Kondō is best acknowledged for his manga situated during the Universal Century timetable of the first Mobile Suit Gundam, and for his military stylish and authenticity in depicting weapons and fighting in the Gundam universe. He illustrated manga version Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 of the original anime and also the manga version Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. He also illustrated the manga Sidestory of Gundam Zeta which depicts a diverse starting of the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Also he illustrated and penned the manga Mobile Suit Vor!! and Operation Buran U.C.0079.
In July 2017 the manga MS Senki Reboot was commenced by Kondō. The series reboots the earlier manga MS Senki: Kidō Senshi Gundam 0079 Gaiden in which the illustration is by Kondō and the story is by Masaya Takahashi which was in succession from 1984 to 1985 in the Kodansha’s Comic BomBom magazine.
