New Manga to be adapted from Original Anime Film “Hello World”

A new manga inspired by Anime film “Hello World” was announced in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine’s July issue on Wednesday. The original Anime Film “Hello World” was directed by Graphinica and Tomohiko Ito. The manga adaptation will be produced by Yoshihiro Sono and Manatsu Suzuki. In the next issue of the magazine on 19 July, two chapters of the manga along with a coloured opening page will be published.

In Japan, the film will open on 20 September and on Friday, the novelization of the film was shipped.

The film is set in the year 2027 in Tokyo and it is a science fiction love story. Famous landmarks such as the Kamo Shrine and Fushimi Inari Taisha are featured in this film. The protagonist of the film is a male student of a high school, named Naomi Katagaki. One fine day, young Naomi finds himself face to face with another person named Naomi. This person who claims himself to be Naomi, has time travelled from 10 years in the future. The younger and older Naomi must save a classmate named Ruri and save the future together. Younger Naomi starts to date classmate Ruri in 3 months.

The film is directed by Ito at Graphinica. Ito’s other works include ERASED and Sword Art Online Franchise. Graphinca has also produced Expelled from Paradise. The screenplay is written by Mado Nozaki and the characters are designed by Yukiko Horiguchi.
