In its primary four days the anime movie King of Prism All Stars: Prism Show Best 10 vended 26,000 tickets and generated 45 million yen. On January 10, Friday the movie was released in Japan in 31 cinemas.

King of Prism is a follow up work of the franchise Pretty Rhythm. In January 2016 the primary movie KING OF PRISM of the franchise PrettyRhythm was released. in June 2017 the subsequent movie King of Prism: PRIDE the HERO was released in Japan. The afterward anime project King of Prism: Shiny Seven Stars is both a movie series and television anime series. In March till May 2019 the movie series screened was released as four movies. In April 2019 the anime series version comprising 12 episodes were debuted and the series was telecast by Crunchyroll as soon as it was broadcast.
