Episode 1 of Rikekoi was good. It’s basically a funny anime and there is no way it will get serious. I had the impression that it will be a light rom-com between the main characters and after watching the first episode it seems like it is going to be cute and funny anime and so I’ll be watching it as it is going to less stressful compared to other anime this season. I don’t expect it to be the best anime of this anime but I find it fascinating and entertaining.
I like Kaguyu-sama. There is no making other confess the feeling but it is more about making other prove their feelings with the help of science. But their competitive games somewhat concluded and that made me compare in the first place. They don’t even try to beat or out-wit each other. It’s funny that they both of them are new in this and have no idea about romantic stuff so they use internet for that. I admired that the confession was right away. They didn’t drag the confused-about-love part and get straight to the point.
I like the characters. I love how the dual character of Himuro is portrayed. At one point she seems hot and sexy and then at the other point she is the most adorable character. I also like her character design and her appearance. But, I don’t know what to fell about the other characters. Kaede is a level-headed senpai but there isn’t anything special about her character. Yukimura is nice but I don’t find him very interesting. But let’s see what happens in the next episodes as I’m looking forward how these characters develops.
The pacing of the anime was quite fast. Everything was happening so quick that you might miss if you look away. But, there are some repletion when it come to the funny part. They also dragged some jokes that they actually become boring. But not every joke was like that. Some really made me laugh. Although I think that things will be repeating in the next episodes but I really hope that doesn’t happen. It’s better not to predict or guess what comes next. Another thing that I didn’t like in this episode is too much text especially the part about the crows. I understand that it explains the cause of two doing 100 Kabedons. But it becomes boring and make me skip that part so it’s better that they keep it interesting. However it is not going to make quit. I’m looking forward to see more.
